Offecct is a Swedish furniture company based in Tibro, Sweden, that designs and manufactures seating, tables and acoustic products for contract and workplace interiors. Its range includes chairs, sofas and acoustic panels and screens intended to manage sound in offices and public spaces. It is part of the Flokk group of seating and workplace-furniture brands. The company was founded in 1990 in Tibro — a town with a long furniture-manufacturing tradition — by Kurt Tingdal and Anders Englund. From the outset it focused on contract furniture developed with external designers, and it became known both for seating and for acoustic products designed to absorb and reduce noise in interiors. Offecct works through collaborations with international designers and architects, including figures such as Claesson Koivisto Rune, Jean-Marie Massaud and others, producing furniture for collaborative and public environments. Acoustic comfort and sustainability are recurring themes in how the company presents its work. In 2017 Offecct became part of the Flokk group, the Norway-headquartered furniture group whose portfolio of brands also includes HÅG, RH, RBM, BMA and Giroflex. Within that group Offecct operates as the brand focused on design-led contract seating and acoustic furniture, supported by the group's manufacturing and sustainability resources. Offecct's products are used in offices, public buildings and other contract interiors and are sold through dealers internationally. As a Swedish contract furniture maker within the Flokk group, Offecct combines Scandinavian design with a focus on seating and acoustic solutions for shared spaces.
